THE KILLER MOUNTAIN BASE CAMP
Known as NANGA PARBAT 8126m, (naked mountain) the highest wall on the earth

Day 01 Rawalpindi (Pakistan)
Upon arrival transfer to the Hotel Shalimar in Rawalpindi, twin city's sightseeing Islamabad/Rawalpindi, 20km from hotel to the Capital. Visit Shakarprian lok-versa the heritage, Short drive through the Parliament Avenue, Faisal mosque, lunch in Jehangir-Resturant. After lunch drive back to the hotel, two hours rest and evening visit hustle and bustles of Raja Bazaar, Motti Bzaar Rawalpindi. O/night in the hotel.

Day 02 Rawalpindi to Saidu Shareif (Swat)
Morning after breakfast leave hotel and our journey commencing through the grand trunk road towards the gateway to central Asia, Peshawar the land of Pashtoon's. 270km distance to the beautiful Swat valley via Peshawar presents a diversified cultures from the 2nd century BC and different dynasties of the era and today's modern world. Lunch in Mardan city with Pukhtoon's specialties. En-route we will be visiting Takht-e-Bahi the best remains of Buddhist monastery from 1st to 8th century, 4km off the road from the main road. Hill up drive over Malakand pass reminds Alexander the great and British history of their invasions. Upon arrival to the PTDC hotel checked in Saidu-Sharief (Swat).

Day 03 Saidu Shareif (Swat) to Chilas
Our third day journey has its unique importance to see Hinduksh western Himalayan snow caped peaks and Hindkush mountains from 2134m, Shangla pass. The distances from Saidu Sharief to Besham into the Karakoram highway over Shangla pass 110km, which presents contrast landscaping of both sides. Road downhill from Shangla to Besham is normally slow and once get into the Indus Kohistan gorge is better condition. Lunch in PTDC motel (Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation) Dassu the administrative headquarter to Kohistan. After lunch our journey heading along the Indus River and distance to Chilas entrance 126 of Northern Areas territory takes another 3hrs. Stay in Chilas Inn Hotel/Panorama hotel on the Karakoram highway.

Day 04 Chilas to Raikot/Jhel, drive and then trek to Fairy Meadows. Jhel about 3hrs/ 5.5km, 640m ascent.
One of 6th district of Northern Area "Diamur" Chilas is Administrative headquarter 100% Shina speaking legends. From Chilas our journey starts along the Indus river to Raikot (1280m) bridge about 73kms/02 hrs, here at this point we meet our jeeps to take a 15km uphill dusty rough drive to "Jhel" (2666m) road end. From there we meet porters to carry loads/ or if we suppose have hours riding program will happen at this stage. Once upon back in late 80's there was 4x4 road up to Fairy Meadows but in 1992 heavy rain washed most of the road and now its just a walking trail comfortable for the local community and tourists. This 3hours uphill gradual trail goes through the beautiful pine forest with splendors views of Nanga Parbat at some portions good walk under shade. Reaching in Fairy Meadows (3306m) you will be welcome with mountain tea and we have a choice of huts staying and dorm two person tents. You can enjoy the beauty of Killer Mountain and Chongra/south Chongra, Bhuldar peak, this mountain climbed by the Germans in 1953 expedition led by Harman Bhul and this fellow died on Choglisa peak (7665m) in Baltoro. All meals can enjoy in the local style house or could arrange BBQ in open air under may be full moon.

Day 05 Fairy Meadows to Beyal camp about 2hrs, 5km, 194m, ascent.
After having breakfast in open air with beautiful views of Nanga Parbat, take a gentle walk through the dens pine/deodar forest and trail to Beyal hugs the edges of the terrace above the Raikot glacier's terminus, overlooking the valley and glacier. Views in the back drop towards north could be seeing Rakaposhi, Haramosh, Laila peak, Mulabatin and so on….As long as our trek keep us gradual walk through the pine/Deodar/junipers forest valley opens up as closer we reach the wildflowers-filled meadows of Beyal (350m) with great views down-valley of Indus valley and Rakaposhi. People from Bondar Farm tribes have spread summer pastures up in these valleys and they spend their summer time with herds. Huts or Tents both options available and all meals will serve in the camp.

Day 06 Beyal to Base Camp and Fairy Meadow about 6 to 7hrs, 8km, ascent 467m.
Trail from Beyal to the Raikot glacier south ridge is easy 30minutes through the Himalayan birch/junipers trees. Nanga Parbat base camp is between the Gannalo and Raikot glacier, just south of their confluence. Reaching after 30 minutes time to the bottom of a small hill 125m, trail passing through the stands Birch trees takes 45minutes to the top of moraine. The trail continues 30 minutes through rolling upland to a cairn at the moraine's edge, descends to cross to the Gannalo glacier. Nanga Parbat base camp (3967m) 3hrs from Beyal. Reaching to the base the Drexel Monument to German climbers killed on Nanga Parbat. Leave nothing but foot prints, take nothing but good memories and return to the destination back at Fairy Meadows. Vice-Versa

Day 07 Fairy Meadows to Jhel/Raikot and Chilas trek about 2hrs to Jhel, 5.5km, 640m descent.
After lunch take a walk down hill to Jhel and at road began and down hill drive takes one hour 15km, to Raikot bridge on the Karakoram highway. Way back to Chilas 73km, overnight in Chilas Inn/Panorama hotel.

Day 08 Chilas to Abbottabad
Our journey start from Chilas at about 6.00am on KKH downwards to Besham along the Indus through the Indus Kohistan gorges for 222km, about 6hrs. our lunch arrangement in Besham Continental hotel and after having meals leave through North west frontiers province the Pustoon's land to Abbottabad 149km. Check in Abbott lodges Or Abbott Greens for O/night.

Day 09 Our last journey drive through the foot hills of Himalaya,
visiting Taxila the Buddhist few sites from 1st to 8th century BC, en-route to Rawalpindi. Upon arrival check in hotel and lunch will be served in the hotel. Afternoon relax or visit to Bazaar for shoping…or free time.

Day 10 Transfer to the airport, fly back.
