Nights / 7 Days Destination : Cochin - Periyar - Kumarakom - Alleppay - Marari - Cochin  Day 1 Arrival at Cochin You arrive at Cochin International / Domestic Airport, to be whisked away to historic Willingdon Island. You will have more time to freshen up, before joining the sightseeing of Kochi, is the only place in the country where you can see Portuguese Churches, a Jewish Synagogue, Hindu Temples, Dutch Architecture & Mosque nearly side by side. This evening a memorable experience in any journey in Kerala is a Boat Trip along the Palm Fringed Lakes & Backwaters of the Area, as we sail along the shady canals we see cantilevered Chinese fishing nets. Later we attend the performance of the Kathakali, one of India's most famous Classical dances. Overnight stay at Casino Hotel. Day 2 Cochin -Periyar (192 kms) / 5.5 hrs We leave Cochin & drive to a tranquil hill retreat, the Spice Village. Along the way we pass through tea, cinnamon, and clove & cardamom plantations - beautiful to see and smell! Our hotel is set in a spice garden & has been modeled after that tribal dwelling of the area; each cottage has a thatched roof & a deep, airy verandah. This evening we visit the nearby Periyar Game Sanctuary; game viewing here is like no other safari experience. Be sure to have plenty of Films on hand! Overnight at the, Spice Village. Day 3 Periyar - Kumarakom (114 kms) / 3 hrs You'll leave just after breakfast, driving back down to the coast and the melodically named town of Kumarakom on the banks of Lake Vembanad. Evening finds you on a sunset cruise on the lake, in a converted rice boat, adrift to a flute accompaniment. Overnight stay at the, Coconut Lagoon. Day 4 Kumarakom - Alleppay (By Luxury Houseboat) After breakfast transfer to Alleppey to meet your way own floating hotel in the famous backwaters. Kettuvalam, an Authentic Kerala Houseboat. Overnight stay at the, Luxury Houseboat. Day 5 & 6 Aleppey - Marari (12 kms) / 15 Min After breakfast, the boat takes you back across Lake Vembanad to Puthenangadi, from where a car takes you to Marari Beach. You have one another night at the Marari beach, a paradise of sun, sea, sand and surf. Overnight stay at, Marari Beach Resort. Day 7 Marari - Cochin - Onwards Destination (90 kms) / 2 hrs) After breakfast transfer to Cochin International Airport to board the flight for onwards destination.
